GERRYMANDERING
Voting districts and precincts have been drawn to help one party dominate the political landscape with little care or interest in the representation of all the people living in the districts. Thus, issues important to the extreme ends of the districts can be very different. This encourages taxation without representation or dollars not being appropriately distributed in the district. District 36 is no different. The district runs narrowly just inside Oldham County to the Spencer and Bullitt county lines. I will insist that district lines be drawn by a non-partisan group to ensure that every citizen has the proper representation for issues that are germane to the people living in the districts.
